A Gestational trophoblastic disease interview .

MrsKilby's interview

How did all start?

I found out I was pregnant on August 2nd due to a home test. Had bleeding and clotting for two weeks decided to go to ER and was told "you are pregnant, but it's not human".

Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?

I did notbalready have a diagnosis. The day of my D&C (August 20, 2017) I was told what it was called.

For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?

Being treated with methotrexate chemo medicine.

What has been the most useful thing for you so far?

My daughter has been keeping my spirits high.

What have been your biggest difficulties?

Trying to cope.

How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?

The looks have changed and you only see the worry within people. Definitely relationships have changed because people don't want to involve you in other worries when you have something like this going on.

What things have you stopped doing?

Going outside in the sun due to the methothextrate. Stopped Eating basically everything I love since I can't have folic acid.

What do you think about the future?

I am scared that I may not be able to have more children and the same thing will happen over and over again.

So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?

The past year with my daughter has been the best.

What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?

Be more active and not have to worry about HCG levels.

If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?

My life is hectic.

Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?

Don't give up.
