Aortic Aneurysm <> Aortic Dissection (Which Came first ?) if Aneurysm is separation of the Layers of an artery and a Dissection is a hole or Tear which comes first the chicken or the egg? most folks will kind of tell you that dissection comes After the Aneurysm, but how does the blood create and Aneurysm without a dissection (hole or tear or shredding) so they really are not the same a dissection can create and opening it can also tear Like a sail in the wind begining at a weak place and going all the way to the other end (Like a Pirate "riding his sword down the sail") they can also find another weakness and Create a way for the blood to reenter the Normal Lumen downstream or they can also Find a weakness in the Outter wall and "Blowout" causing folks To often bleed to death Before they can reach Help in a place thats even able to support such intense surgical repairs... An Emergent Aortic Dissection kind of makes most of these Heart attack operations seem like trimming a hang nail Imagine Changing a Radiator hose on a car while its running without loosing all the coolant ...and blowing the motor up... this is why it cant be done Just anywhere by a couple people too
