Advances are slow in coming for HS. The HS Institute in Westlake, Ohio (www.hs-institute.com) uses laser surgery for HS patients. The only advances are all the new online HS support groups and websites popping up. Most of these are created by HS patients themselves, adamant about getting the word out. Stay hopeful. The harder we work and succeed in raising awareness, the better the chance people in general will understand and the better the chance of getting research done.
