It's very important to accept that you have narcolepsy to even be able to have a chance to be happy. For some it's hard to accept it and need some help from a psychologist and it's nothing wrong with that. And some will accept it easier, we are all different.
When you have accept the fact that you have narcolepsy I would advise you to just go on with your life like you did before but be aware of that you are gonna have to make some changes in your life to make it work.
And remember to keep friends and family close!
