Year Condition Began: 2009

Esophageal cancer
Layne was diagnosed with EC in April 2009. He had chemo, then chemo and radiation (proton) at MD Anderson, then surgery then clean up chemo. They were sure they had cured him.

But in the end, it came back, leaving me alone with five kids, three under the age of 18.
