Ewings

May 25, 2018

By: Stuart

Year Condition Began: 2005

I had symptoms in 2005 . It was first thought to be Sciatica but in early 2006 a doctor examined me, scanned me and
found the tumour on my spine L4/L5, he operated and removed the tumour and added some plates to my spine to support where one of my vertebrae had been eaten away.

I had 14 sessions of VIDE chemotherapy and 6 weeks of radiotherapy.

In 2010 I had a relapse with a spot on my lung, I had this removed and then in Sep 2010 had a Stem Cell Transplant.

In 2014 I had a problem with my spleen and had this removed it was found to have some rare Lymphoma cells however as there were very few and no other evidence of disease I am just being monitored.

I continue to have scans every 6 months.
