There is no real diet that helps the symptoms, but there are a few things to think about when choosing what meals to take.
The medication (such as Lyrica) and symptoms caused by the disease many times slows the body down and make it impossible to have fruitful exercise. It's very easy to gain weight during this time, so healthy food is definitely recommended to try and keep your body functioning.
Another important point is that when you finally do decide on surgery, having your body in a good balance before the surgery definitely doesn't hurt. If the body is nutritionally balanced, some studies suggest that the recovery can be speedier. I tried to keep a healthy diet (veggies, fruits, meats) for the month before surgery in particular to give my body a push for healing.
