The most common and often quite debilitating symptom is oral ulcers. For me, this was the first symptom I had. My entire mouth and throat were full of sores which were so painful I couldn't open my mouth. I still have some painful oral ulcers, however, the most debilitating symptom over the 40 years I have had Behçets is indescribable fatigue and chronic pain.
