A positive "can do" attitude can work wonders, keeping interested with the world and people around you will stop the onset of depression and enable you to take the strict medication regime in your stride. You certainly can be happy living with bronchiectasis, it is damage done to your lungs and keeping your lungs clear of sputum enables you to live a "normal life" with, for the vast majority, a "normal life span".
