It can & has been very difficult to live with lupus. I have experienced depression & isolation through this disease. I have felt frustrated at the loss of my independence and freedom. I have found counselling, therapeutic yoga and pain management support groups to be effective in returning me to happiness. The support & understanding of my family is probably the most critical component to my happiness. Also fighting through isolation, reaching out to others & learning how to self manage chronic pain is crucial for happiness.
