In a percentage of Lyme Disease sufferers, their autoimmune system "crashes". This, in my first hand experience, is what is erroneously referred to as "chronic" Lyme disease. Symptoms are profound fatigue, joint pain, mental confusion or inability to think and perform basic tasks, "air hunger", sun aversion, the list is long.
