Chemo-induced Peripheral Neuropathy
I was treated for cancer with cisplatin and radiotherapy. About 6 months after treatment ended I started feeling strange sensations along my spine and tingling, pain and numbness in my feet. My doctor told me it would probably go away. Then I had hip problems (caused by the radiation) and had a replacement. Then I had a disc problem and arthritis in my lower spine. At some point the pain management doctor put me on Cymbalta and later on Lyrica in addition to the opiods I was taking for my back pain. Both the Cymbalta and Lyrica have helped with PN pain and aches. It is progressing however and my right leg is worse than my left. My pain doctor is great and listens to me and really wants to help. Now if we could just manage the back pain!
