Pituitary tumor

I noticed things started to change with my body in 2015. I started to gain a lot of weight and I had not changed my eating habits. I started feel tired really tired. I thought the weight was the main reason.  I started to diet and watch what I was eating.  It wasn't helping. I noticed after I stop nursing my son my breast milk was still available after I had stop for a year. My period started becoming Irregular. Then  eventually went away For 3 months.  I saw my OB to get tests ordered. They discovered I had high prolactin in my blood and thought this was the reason for the continued breast milk and  irregular periods. They gave me Bromocriptine to take for 2 weeks. My period returned but after that cycle it went MIA for 6 months. I finally returned back to the doctor this time for second opinion.  They tested again my blood and again I had high prolactin.  I was referred to a Hormone doctor. The doctor ordered a MRI to check for a tumor.

A pea size tumor was discovered on the  pituitary gland in April 2016. I have been on Cabergoline for 2 months. So far its been working. My levels have come down from the 70s to below normal of .07 Im hopeful it will continue to work.  Cheryl
