MVP and MVPS and MVPS/D plays a huge part of one's relationships. Most acquaintances do not understand, and you or they do not have time to explain. However, with your close family, they hopefully will want to understand and know your symptoms so they can help you. My husband is very supportive as were my children when growing up. If your family is not, perhaps a counselor can help. Truly. You, the patient, cannot be whiney and can show your children how to act when you have an illness. You do not want pity, only help and understanding. A pastor or good friend might be willing to read about MVP, etc. so they can help your family understand.
