I think that depends on the progression of your disease. Mine is slow growing, others have fast growing disease. All I know is that I am 14 years into this disease and feel pretty darn good. I know that some are out there that have had the disease for 25 years and are still doing good.
Complications with this disease - bowel obstruction is the most common complication of this disease.
There are many new things being researched for treatment of our disease as well as for the treatment of the syndrome that we have. Perhaps one day those will be the treatment of choice.
