Yes and No.
You can treat the AVM by embolization, radiation, or surgery to remove. Once treated/removed you are considered cured. You may want to remember though, that some people have multiple AVM’s. Your doctors/specialists can tell you whether you’re at risk for additional issues.
Be sure to keep all follow-up appointments- If your surgeon asks you to get yearly Angiograms after treatment, keep the appointments and do whatever your doctor recommends to stay healthy following treatment.
