Living with XLH can be quite a challenge considering that it is a disease that is characterized (as many others) for generating deformities, important and visible in our limbs and/or teeth, short stature, way of walking spot, these characteristics often mean that we suffer discrimination, harassment, teasing, etc, however when there is a good handle on the affective/emotional of parents with their children, these situations can be a good way. Children with XLH are not weak people, and they should not be treated as such, on the contrary, it should encourage them to achieve their goals as any other child, this will make the people responsible with his body, concerned about your health and improvement.
Probably be happy or not with XLH do not have to do with the fact of having the disease, since in many cases the treatments are effective and the symptoms decrease considerably, a person can be happy with or without those symptoms, it will depend on the quality of life that has, in general terms, relationships, family, emotional life, personal development, and characteristics of your personality, we are not all equal, independent of the disease that we share.
To be happy with XLH we must first assume that we have the disease, and therefore we have to find a way to feel good or better than we are.
