Dear acanthamoeba keratitis friends,
My question: can you tell me the name and adress of your hospital where you are threated?
My explantion:
Unfortunately I'm diagnosed with AK for 2 months now.
Now this is the thing: I'm going to make a woldtrip of 9 months starting in september this year. (Only when I don't need to take my eyedrops anymore because otherwise I think I can't cross many borders with 90bottles of medication!)
But maybe I have to/or want to visit a doctor for an extra check or something. The countries that I'll visit are:
Mongolia - south Korea- Japan-Australia-New zeeland-Fiji-Thailand-cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-sri lanka- India- Peru- Bolivia-Costa rica- Belize-Guatemala-Cuba-Mexico.
Do you have your threatment in one of these countries? Please can you give me Some information? I'll be very thankful!

If you go to one of the big public hospitals in Bangkok - I will try to find out the names - they have PHMB there. You cannot get it in Cambodia, I have to fly to Bangkok every week for a check up and to get the medicine

Hi, I'm travelling to India next month and I just emailed every single eye hospital in the areas that I will be. Dr Agarwal's eye hospital replied and they have experience in the condition and are also able to give the medication. I specifically asked about 0.02% PHMB which are the drops that I take and I just have to let them know with 4 days notice as they have to order them. Hope this helps, Jackie
