I have had health issues (insomnia, migraines, stomach problems) my entire life. But my pain began hitting me hard at age 15. I went to dr after dr and was misdiagnosed with many different things such as fibromyalgia, lupus, hypochondria and depression. I finally found my current rheumatologist 2 years ago who listened to what I have to say, took me seriously, listened to my family history and diagnosed me with AS. Now we are on a corse of treatment that helps, even though there is no cure, I know now what is wrong and what to do to help.
