Diagnosed 2003

May 17, 2017

By: Rebecca

I was diagnosed in 2003 after reading an article in a magazine. Myself and my family had never heard of Antiphospholipid syndrome back then. But I fitted in with all the symptoms the lady had in the article. 5 miscarriages, migraines, sore joints, fatigue. Since my diagnosis I've not seen a consultant or found a doctor that's heard of this illness. It's a scary world to live with such an unpredictable disease. Despite all the odds I went on to have 4 beautiful perfect children. Two of each. Daily injections of heparin were hard going at times but extremely worth it.
