Ascending Aortic Dissection while coaching my HS football TEAM ON Sep 12,2014 . Had life saving surgery that evening. I am also a HS physical education teacher . I went back to work full time in mid November 2014 and was doing great until my surgeon Dr Jerome McDonald had to go back in on June 7,2015 to replace my arch and add a new pigs valve. Have been doing great ever since :). Yearly cats scans ..so far so good. Went back to coaching and teaching in August of 2015. Loving and living life to the fullest. Always cognizant of that dark shadow in the corner . STAY STRONG!
