Error
My daughter was 5 years old when she was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia. She was infusion dependent until her BMT. She received transplant from sibling donor in October 2015. She was on cyclosporine, magnesium and an antifungal for about 4 months after transplant.
She developed SAA after a battle with hepatitis developed from a virus. She was in the hospital 6 times in 2015 with a total of about 175 days. This was a super tough year for our family.
Cara is doing well now and is a busy little girl. She loves school, dance and gymnastics. She is off all medications and we see the physicians every 2 months for check ups and blood work.
