My daughter was diagnosed with SAA in Jan 2015 and startted treatment in March 2015. On the 13th July she suffered a stroke at home which they thought was caused by the cyclosporin until a second stroke happened 8 days later in hospital. It was caused by CNS vasculitis and to this day they still dont know how this happened! They think its some kind of immune condition that got thru but no blood test or scan has been able to prove it!
My daughter is on eltrombobag to boost her platelets at this stage a long with many other meds to do with her brain injury. She has lost movement in her arms and legs and can no longer talk. We have a long road of recovery ahead of us.
