Please feel free to follow my journey of traveling back and forth from South Dakota to NYC to have life saving surgeries in order to live a long, healthier life for myself and my family. So far I have had 13 surgeries to remove my avm, which included removing most of my face, and rebuilding it using tissues I grew from tissue expanders, aka breast implants to stretch and grow new skin, and using pieces of my rib to make a complete new nose. I am very open on my journey because I don't want others to feel alone, and hope that it can reach someone with avm who doesn't know what they have yet, or doesn't know that there are shading doctors out there that can potentially save their lives.
