From Asthma to Brugada Syndrome to OCD

I have had asthma all my life and have been in and out of of hospital with it. As a kid it was terrifying, but as an adult I am learning to control it better.

in 2012 I nearly died when I was having a shower. About a month after my episode, I was diagnosed with type 1 Brugada Syndrome and immediately had an ICD implanted. This changed my life dramatically and at 19 years old I was faced with the fact that I nearly died.

i think my diagnosis of Brugada pushed my mental health condition to become more of a problem for me. While I have had issues for a long long time, they got a whole lot worse after being diagnosed. It took me a few years to seek professional help and get diagnosed, but now that I am on the right medication and getting regular help, I am doing so much better!
