A Ataxia story

Error
I found out I had spinocerebellar ataxia in 2000. i inhereted it from my dad, I have an older brother with it. My kids said I walked like my dad.
I was a 3rd grade teaher and retired when field trips became too difficult. I had a new principal that allowed other teachers to bully me because of my ataxia. It was hard to retire from a job that defined me.
I also have a little Jack Russell with ataxia. I wrote a book about him so people would understand our struggles more. I hope someone finds a way to make our lives easier.
