A Biliary Atresia story

Aug 3, 2017

Logan was born on 28 July 2014, diagnosed at 6 weeks old and had Kasai procedure on 18 September 2014 (8 weeks old), was in and out of hospital with cholangitis for the next 2 months. Was fairly healthy from then until 14 months old and had another bout of cholangitis. Was doing well until just short of his 2nd birthday he contracted a virus (which mom reckons was Hand, Foot and Mouth) and it sent his liver reeling. Went through all the testing and his dad was able to donate a portion of his liver to him on 11 October 2016. Logan just celebrated his 3rd birthday last week and he is thriving with his new liver.
