I was perfectly healthy until December 2014. I got really sick for about six weeks and my lungs have never improved. It took about eight months for the doctor to diagnose me even though I had very good health care. I am a registered nurse and it's changed my career options. I used to work in the intensive care unit. Now I teach nursing school. I had only met one or two patients that had this disease in In 20 years of ICU nursing. Most healthcare professionals do not understand this disease because it is rare. Taking Biaxin every other day has made a significant improvement in my quality-of-life.
