Gena's interview

How did all start?

Dizziness, left eye pain, disorientation, confusion, anxiety.

Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?

This is a very rare disease that doesn't show synptoms for 50 years sometimes.

For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?

My husband was seen by a neurologist. He was hospitalized and many tests were run and diagnosed with this horrible disease.

Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?

There is currently no cure or treatment and it is fatal. Enjoy and make the most of everyday as much a possible.
