Never Recovered from Mono

Had fever and fatigue during spring of 2014. Diagnosed with mono after positive monospot test. Dozens of doctors later, I'm getting sicker and sicker. Have to give myself an hour long pep talk to gather energy to stand up and go to the bathroom. This is a terribly difficult disease for us and our loved ones.
I used to be a vivacious woman who went to NYC every year to see the new Broadway shows. I spent ten or so long weekends a year near the Point Reyes National Seashore. I now only leave the house for medical appointments, and those are very difficult.
Please ask your elected officials to allocate money for CSF/ME. I want to go back to being a contributing member of society.

My dear friend had the same thing happen to her. She came down with mono and never fully recovered and eventually diagnosed with CFS. It's been 22 years now that she's been afflicted.
