Chronic Pancreatitis

I was diagnosed with chronic hereditary pancreatitis at the age of 3 (inherited from my father). I had the Total Pancreatectomy and Auto Islet Cell Transplant at the University of Minnesota at the age of 14. I have been living virtually pain free for the last eight years and I haven't had to take insulin since the first few months after my surgery.
