A Cluster Headaches story

Mar 27, 2016

My cluster headaches started just before my 18th birthday. I wasn't properly diagnosed til 1996. That's 16 years of dealing with cluster headaches not knowing what they were. My cycles last any where from 8 to 40 weeks with the majority of cycles lasting 8 to 10 weeks. I usually had 2 sometimes 3 cycles a year and my trigger for the start of a cycle was the change of season. Over the last 10 years my cycles generally happen once every 3-4 years lasting 4-5 weeks.

Oxygen and Verapamil work best for me. With the support of the wife, sons and the cluster head family, I am still here and learning new things about our disease. Keep your chin up and ask allot of questions, the veterans are willing to help. There are a number of different groups on Facebook that have 1000's of members, so the help is out there you just need to ask. PFDAN (pain free days and nights) to all.

Andrew
