By: Dena

Year Condition Began: 1965

my childhood was spent in and out of the hospital for the first 5 years due to adrenal crisis and medication adjustments 6-12years more stable years the disease didn't slow me down I had my first and only child at 18 years old with severe complications she was born emergency C-Cection and I had to have a hysterectomy however we both survived and she doesn't have CAH. As my body started aging, the complications of the disease started progressing ,as well as adjusting the cortisone as needed.I was able to become an RN in my 30's and was able to work for 13 years then I had to apply for disability due to the chronic pain ,fatigue and depression
