i was diagnosed from a great local Doctor a week after my accident, Dr. yamagata. He handed me a paper that had RSD on it and told me don't read stuff online, I am going to need a great team of PT, OT, pain management, an awesome supportive GP (Schectner in Atascadero, I see NP Naomi Waak) she is my biggest supporter)
i started with CRPS level 3 right away. Scooter bound. No one thought I would walk again. My PT said I am going nowhere fast unless I go to the best pain Doctor. I had three people email Dr.Carroll's Info through the six months of my disease but thought what else could anyone do. I was wrong. I saw him and he admitted me into Stanford for 10 days and I walked out. He found my original injured nerve with a 4 hour MRI in my left thigh. Take the time to find the CRPS 2. Now I am in medication hell trying to find what works, why am I getting seizures? Bad ones. My poor loved ones have seen too much and it has cost us so much $. My favorite after waiting 9 months I got denied disability letter. I can still work with my hands?. Crazy the fight we have to deal with every day. The fight that doesn't even begin the amount of pain we are in that is so unbearable it's hard to explain.
i am a lucky one. Family, friends and doctors that work hard for me as long as I work hard for them. We are fighters and don't give up. You will want to but then you will never hear the person you love laugh again. That is what you have to stay strong for. Stay strong for everyone that has stayed strong for you.
