My Journey So Far With CRPS

Jul 13, 2026

By: Deb

I was injured in what I thought was a very minor vendor bender, just a little bang from behind, probably be a bit sore for a few days, but I would be ok.  The young gal who hit me was fine so that was all that mattered..... I was very wrong.... I suffered a major concussion ( although I did not hit my head on anything but the headrest ), level 2 whiplash, labral tear in my left hip, aggravated my TMJ, ABI, and oh yes ... CRPS in my right arm and Hand!  After the second year I also was diagnosed with Horners Syndrome as a result of a Stellate Ganglilian Block gone bad that I was dreamed to suffer from for the rest of my life.

But I did not want to be labeled as the gal with CRPS! ABI! TMJ! HORNERS! LABRAL HIP TEAR! and a vast assortment of other things I just wanted to be ME!  I wanted to have some of my life back.

i was an entrepreneur, dog lover/trainer/breeder, philanthropist, heading towards early retirement with my amazing husband. Have a wonderful adult son, who we love to visit.  We wanted to travel.  Had plans for that dream country property that you could walk and explore during the early morning mist.

I have full intentions of figuring out how to achieve just a small portion of that dream with my husband, as soon as I am done with the doctors...someone just has to tell me when that might be...
