On March 23, 2010 is when my life changed. I slipped on a newly waxed floor at work and broke 5th metatarsal in right foot. After 9 months not healing a workman comp Podiatrist put a pin in bone. When cast was removed it was very painful to walk and had burning, numbness, pins and needle feelings and sharp pain I hadn't had before. Went to a different workman comp Podiatrist that found by sonagram the pin had missed the fracture site and was moving when I walked. The nerve damage had been done. Pin was removed in May 2011 and was diagnosed with CRPS in November 2013 after settling with workman comp. I now see a pain management Doctor monthly. I'm in burning pain 24/7, chronic fatigue, stomach issues, can't stand or walk long and have many other CRPS related issues. I live one day at a time because the pain and fatigue changes minute by minute. I try and stay positive, help encourage others with CRPS in a group on Facebook and double up on vitamin B12 sublingual vitamins. My belief in God and many prayers helps me get thru each day. I retired with a medical disability due to not being able to return to work after pin was put in foot.
