In 1991 I crushed my hand at work in an industrial accident. It was never the same and the pain was awful. But nothing was ever done and I just had to learn to live with it. Fast forward to 2006. I have a job I love and am making great money but have no feeling in my fingers. The doctors decide to try carpal tunnel surgery. A week later I am screaming at them wanting to know what they did to me the pain is so bad. It is now up my arm into my neck and shoulder. I am thinking they can fix this. It took a year, multiple tests, and doctors to finally be diagnosed with CRPS/RSD. I am now considered full body including internal organs. I also have been diagnosed with post prandial hypotension from ketamine infusions gone wrong. As well as several other auto immune diagnosis all related to RSD. It's been a bumpy ride. Between the RSD and my son leaving for college it was the end of my marriage. It was probably the best thing that could have happened in the long run. I have learned so much about RSD in the last nine years. I am happy to help anyone navigate this disease. Especially to stay out of the dark places I found myself in at times.
