My fight to stay strong and enjoy life.

I guess I should go to being a teenager when I first hurt my back.  I was very active always. Loved to climb run always on the go.  I remember gymnastics and running to the horse and doing a hand flip up but coming down on the handles.  We are not sure but that was one time of injuring my back and breaking three ribs and tore the cart ledge.  I had temps off and on constantly but nothing else.  After the first child oh I didn't know I was pregnant till I was 5 months.  I put on some weight.  My back started hurting.  Went to chiropractictor for years.  Then to getting deep injections.  Then in 199 I had emergency back surgery.  I had rods placed in.  My nurse and therapist noticed the temp change and the shaking and pain in my left leg was not normal.  It looked like nerve damage.  Leg would go into shakes that were bad.  I went back to work way to soon.  Got injured, in between was diagnosed with fibromyalgia Lymes.  And some other diseases.  My life was about to change.  My son was getting ready for his first son.  He didn't make it.  He had a tragic birth.  Right after we buried my grandson. My legs got worse and started to swell. Hands were going numb.  I took a bad fall.  Bent my hardware.   I had lost over 100 pounds before surgery.  Thank god. But now I got sick and was on life support.  I was given an overdose and had a moment of being gone.  I came back to my world is no longer friendly.  I had quit smoking after 41 years.  My feet went from numb to turning blue and on fire.  My hands became so painful.  Had surgery to both hands and we realized the RSD loves to go after anything I have fixed.  So normal would recover 4 weeks.  Me 6-9 months. Teeth had to be pulled due to meds. 2 month recovery. And praying it stays out of jaw.  Now getting fitted for wheelchair that is electrical, because I'm heading there.  But..... I won't give up hope, or faith.  I have 11 grandchildren and one on the way.  I love spending time with them.  I hate when they see me in pain.but the prayers these kids give me.  I'm blessed.  There are days I do nothing. Then there are days I make so many projects. Or can walk. And usually over do it.  You have to be a fighter with great support with RSD.  My Faith is first above all.  My support from family and friends I'm blessed.  My doctors are amazing.  I'm blessed with doctors that care and keep fighting with me, and cry when I'm hurting.  Never give up.  Except a bad day as just that.    I hope this story helps someone.
