Cushings-Help was founded in 2000 after the owner, Mary O'Connor realized that there was not much support for Cushing's patients - anywhere. We have message boards, patient and doctor interviews, an extensive bio section, Helpful Doctors, a couple Facebook groups... and much more.
Mary O'Connor had pituitary Cushing's and was finally diagnosed at the NIH in November 1987. Her transsphenoidal pituitary surgery was successful. Although there have been a few blips along the way, Mrs. O'Connor wants to help provide the support for other patients that was not available in the 1980's.
