Error

Husband had a large lump removed from his back in 2011. Had Mohs surgery after it was discovered it was dfsp. Five years later a bad cough led to an x-ray which led to a discovery that the dfsp had metastasized to the lungs and pancreas. It turns out the lump was dfsp-fs. If we had gone to a sarcoma center we would have known this and he would have been scanned yearly. But we just didn't know. Last month he had emergency surgery to remove a lump in his brain. Gleevec is shrinking some tumors but not others.

DFSP can return to the same area but it rarely metastasizes.
