Dravet Syndrome Foundation - Spain

Dravet Syndrome Foundation, delegation in Spain, was born on May 31, 2011. The initial germ fighters was a group of parents who did not resign themselves to follow the dictates of the disease that strikes children, Dravet Syndrome, a catastrophic epilepsy which affects the developing brain of children, leaving severe neurological sequelae. This group of parents did not give up and decided to fight the disease through research and created the foundation for it.

The organization was founded with the aim of promoting, encouraging and connect major research centers worldwide Dravet syndrome and related diseases. It is based on the principle of joining a collaborative model professionals, patients, researchers, physicians, volunteers and sponsors in the search for an effective therapy. The main objective is to remove barriers to research progress Dravet Syndrome and find effective drugs needed to eliminate, mitigate and even cure the disease.
