In the summer of 1997, my head started pulling to the right.  It wasn't violent or even painful; it was mostly just annoying but the involuntary jerks did began to make me feel self conscious.  I had just taken early retirement as a battalion chief in the dallas fire department to devote full time to finishing my education.  My long time ambition was to be a college professor.  I could have been working on my phd by the time i turned 50. That was the plan.

However, my dream was not to be.  By the time I had enrolled in the fall semester at the university of texas at dallas, my symptoms had become worse. Shortly after classes started, I remember attending a lecture and  (to be con't.)
