Year Condition Began: 2008

My son was born 7 weeks early. Since birth he has had a number of different medical worries. Nothing actually connected with each other until he was sent to see a genetics doctor and a neurologist. It was discovered he has EDS. It had taken 8 years and hundreds of appointments and test to diagnose this. Despite him being born with a congenital dislocated elbow, a syndactaly on his 4th and 5th left toe, talipes and he is also incontinent. He is the most clever little boy with a heart of gold and an attitude towards life that would show a lot of adults humility.
He now uses a wheelchair and suffers with dislocations and Hypermobility. Mainly in his arms legs and hands. He struggles with writing at school due to the flexibility in his fingers and frequent dislocations. He loves football (huge Sheffield Wednesday Fan) and wrestling. He is my hero.
