Story about Elastofibroma Dorsi .

BILATERAL ELASTOFIBROMA DORSI

Oct 4, 2016

By: Anna

I discovered I had this a couple of months ago. Thank God they are benign, so I think myself lucky, but I would like to meet other people with the same condition and would like to participate in more research if possible as very little seems to be known about this condition.

After having an MRI I was told that as they are big and they do pop out and cause me problems, that they should come out. I am afraid of the surgery as I have been told at the general hospital here in Cyrus that the recovery period can be anything from 3 weeks to three months!!!!!! Please contact me if anyone has had the same condition and had them surgically removed.
