Mine is less common, the progression was; "Pink Disease" ( mercury poisoning ), Young's Syndrome, perennial rhinitis, post nasal drip and many repeated chest infections (bronchitis). Then there is Cystic Fibrosis, Primary ciliary dyskinesia, a foreign object (like a peanut) lodged in the lung causing many infections,Tuberculosis. There are up to 50% of bronchiectasis sufferers who are "ideopathic" that is, no known cause.
