I believe that Lyme is transmitted through blood and, potentially, other body fluids. Most reliably, it is transmitted through bites from blood-sucking vectors such as ticks, mosquitoes, fleas, chiggers, etc. It may be sexually transmitted as well as in vitro. I think people with a compromised immune system are more vulnerable.
