A person can live a long and happy life with Sarcoidosis. The problem is when the granulomas begin to interfere with the function of an organ and depending on how severe that interference is. Could affect your life span. Therefore, even if it goes into "remission." You needs to be checked at least one a year.
Note: To my knowledge, nobody has ever died from Sarcoidosis. However, they have died by compilations of an organ brought on by Sarcoidosis.
