has anyone had coils removed from a aneurysm in the brain that has 5 coils and that is growing to replace with a clip?
No i dont ,i have FD of Clivus

It was not safe to coil me as my arteries are tortuous, web-like and prone to dissection. I had my Left internal carotid artery aneurysm clipped. The one on the right is fusiform in shape, has an artery that feeds my right eye, and has a blister growing on top. A stent was not safe, a coil was not safe. With a coil the best case scenario... I go blind, worse? dissect the artery (already have a vertebral artery dissection). The surgeon grabbed a small piece of muslin and wrapped the aneurysm and blister that was at risk of rupturing
