Multiple Auto-Immune Conditions

Sep 9, 2017

By: Trish

Year Condition Began: 2006

I didn't know I had Fibromyalgia, had never heard of the disease, until I began researching my symptoms and started suspecting it. I think the stress of my job was a major contributing factor in exacerbating my body and bringing it on.

I have a lot of deep tissue pain and joint pain throughout my body. My feet have parts of them that feel semi-numb all the time. Sometimes they become very numb and heavy, and other times they feel very cold, or there is a burning sensation, and other times they tingle and there is intense pain. My hands also constantly ache, and I have to massage my fingers and hand, and periodically crack my knuckles to help ease the pain. Fibromyalgia has also affected my memory and causes 'brain fog', where it's hard to think, remember/recall, concentrate, etc.

I became disabled because of my Fibromyalgia and accompanying conditions, through the Social Security in 2013, and have been unable to work since 2012.
