When I was 15 years old there was a pain in my left jaw, at first I thought it was a wisdom teeth, so I went to the dentist and it was, but after the wisdom teeth was removed I noticed my jaw grew bigger so I went back to the hospital and they did scans and about a week later they diagnosed me with fibrous dysplasia. When I first was dealing with it, it hurt alot and I couldn't eat much, talk much and couldn't go to sleep because of the pain and medication and ice packs wouldn't help so about a month later I had surgery, the swelling went down a little and the pain was gone but after a few months it grew bigger than before I had surgery and the pain came back but now that I'm older it doesn't hurt as much and now medicine works and ice packs work but only sometimes.
